Anyone who had Dr Robert Davis or Dr Garth Davis????

I had surgery with Dr Robert Davis on 11-24-09 and tomorrow is my first post op appointment.  Can anyone tell me what to expect tomorrow when i go?  Will it just basically be suture removal and weight check or will i have labs or test to be ran, etc.  I'm trying to guestimate how long it will take me there so i can tell the person watching my daughter!!!!  Any info will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Nothing time consuming. You'll get weighed and he'll remove any sutures. If you don't already have it, you'll get a list of foods for the next phase with instructions of how long to stay on it. I think I was in and out in about 30 min.

No labs until your 6-month checkup.  Your wait in the waiting room will be much longer than your appt - in and out quickly unless you have been having problems you need to discuss.

Those are definitely my kind of appointments!!!  No problems here so it should be QUICK!!!  I just can't wait to upgrade to the full liquid diet because i'm OVER the clear liquid broth!!!  I dont even wanna cook with it from now on!!!!  ha

Why are you still on clear liquids?????

I was on soft foods like mashed potatoes and refried beans after a few days.  Are you SURE you are following the diet plan given you?  'Cause if so, it sure has changed in 16 months!  Although Dee went with me to the OH conference at 10 days out back in late September and she was eating soft foods.........

I was in his office today.  The sign posted on the wall said clear liquids 2 days and then protein shakes for a week.

When i left the hospital they wrote on my discharge papers to do clear liquids until followed up with him.  So that's exactly what i did.  I thought it was wrong but i figured they knew or did it for a reason.  I went today and should have been on full liquids.  They said it was no big deal and for me to start pureed.
